City of heroes is an old MMORPG created initially by
Cryptic Studios before Cryptic sold the IP to NCSoft who hired some of
their staff, forming Paragon Studios. I played the hell out of it
back in the day and after it was closed the sources were eventually
leaked and from the ashes arose new servers.
My preferred poison when it comes to servers is the Rebirth
server. It's free to join and at no point is there any financial
obligation to play this MMO, so if you are interested in playing check
